Please note that this is a COTX firmware that was built to work on the Midas-926 Helium Hotspot Miner. Therefore, your dashboard will be COTX branded and your hotspot will show up under a different name in your home network. Currently, the physical Bluetooth button on the Midas-926 does not work with this firmware version. The LED lights in the front are also non-functional but will turn on.
Before we start make sure there’s a micro SD card present in your unit. If you don’t have a micro SD card in your unit you will not be able to use an SD card and you will have to follow the eMMC flashing guide here. If you look from the left side into your hotspot you can determine if your unit has a micro SD card like so:
Your hotspot can not be onboarded using the COTX firmware so make sure you onboard your hotspot first using the Midas firmware before flashing the COTX firmware.
Before we flash your micro SD card make sure there are no valuable files on there as all files that are on the card will be erased.
